Alight For Health Farm description:
With sustainability and responsible land use as our top priorities, Alight For Health has developed a spindly, sun-starved forest into a small sustainable farm on the rockbound island of Georgetown. Our greenhouses and raised beds are nestled in a wide trough between two ridges of ledge. Alight’s focus is on regenerative practical permaculture, as we seek to plant and grow organic cannabis, produce, and flowers as much for ourselves as we do for the world around us. We are a state licensed medical cannabis farm, showcasing sun grown high tunnel production methods. We have been providing medicine to licensed patients statewide since the beginning of Maine’s medical cannabis program.
Alight has produced these seeds with the intention of preserving the work of the late Mandelbrot (aka Ras Truth) for future generations, and to sweeten Maine’s sungrown gene pool with these vector/fungal resistant, terpene-rich strains, crossed to preservation quality strains selected for their similar traits. The Magum Opus/L.V. Royal Kush strain has been one of the most sought after ‘fuel’ terpene strains in California for years.
A note about germination:
All of the strains that we release undergo in-house testing to assure germination and viability, prior to release. This being said, sungrown seeds are known for having a harder shell than seeds that were produced indoors under lights. For best results, it is recommended
that you store your seeds in a sealed, dry container until you are ready to use them. It is also best practice to gently scratch the outer shell of the seed on both sides with a nail file or fine grit sandpaper (google: Seed Stratification and Scarification) directly before you soak or plant the seeds. Enjoy these beautiful plants!
